Gomelsky Cup. Well-deserved fights with Europe Top clubs

BC Triumph became the 4th after the defeats from Euroleague champion Pao in the semifinal game (62:66) and from Eurocup champion Lietuvos Rytas in the game for the 3rd place (90:94OT).
Semifinal game was equal for the most part. Regardless of Triumph missing injured Osipov and Likhodey, they came out and play well. Triumph showed good collective game, but at the end Pao won by the great individual play.
Triumph Head Coach Stanislav Eremin told after the game, that he's proud of his team:
- I'm very glad that we were not afraid of such strong rival as Pao and we player pretty well for the most of the game. We missed a lot our injured players, we lacked the powerful players in the paint. I think that Pao won thanks to his great experience and long bench.

Next day Triumph played the game for the 3rd place of the tournament against Lietuvos Rytas. Triumph was trailing Lietuvos during 35 minutes of the game, but at the end found a wat to tie the score and turn the game to overtime!And again we lacked some experience and luck and lost 4 points to the Eurocup champion - 90:94 OT.
- I worried that we were the most young team participaring this tournament and we could to get lost in in the games with Europe top teams - said Eremin after the final game , - but it didn't happen. My young players were seriously motivated and they showed very good level. Unfortunately we lost in the games both games. The main reason - we have not enought experience.
But I think that we showed all our best and made the games very nteresting for the opponents and fans.
