Just two days removed from a 102-100 Game 1 defeat to Ural Great in the Moscow Region, Stanislav Eremine's Triumph hit the road and struck back with a vengeance.

Things got worse in the second quarter with Ernest Bremer, Ognjen Askrabic and Toporov all scoring to make it 39-17. There was no way back for Ural Great when Askrabic, who led Triumph with 19 points, buried a jumper to make it 45-21 with 4:25 to go before half-time. At the break, Triumph had a 55-31 stranglehold on proceedings and they cruised the rest of the way. Triumph finished 28 of 48 (58.3%) inside the arc compared to Ural Great's 16 of 36 (44.4%).
The visitors were also 20 of 32 at the free-throw line, with Ural Great just nine of 14. Bremer and Goree finished with 17 points apiece for Triumph. BC Triumph Head Coach Stanislav Eremin:
- We won today and showed a good game. Having lost the first game of the series at home we put ourselves into a difficult situatuion. The key moment for us today was defense. We scored our points, made a good difference from the beginning and did not let Ural Great catch up the tempo. I told my players we did 50% of our job today. Now we return the series to Moscow and the third game will be different and even more difficult.
BC Triumph Forward Marcus Goree:
- We were focused from the very beginning of the game. We played our defense well. We let Ural Great score easy baskets in the first game in Moscow but we corrected our mistakes today and won.
BC Ural-Great Head Coach Aleksandar Kesar:
- Taking into account the quality of the Triumph team we expected this game to be tough. But nobody could expect such a defeat. We did not come into the game as we were supposed to. We let Triumph score some easy points and missed too many of our shots. We let them have too big of an advantage to make up for it. The series is 1-1 now. We still have the game in Lyubertsy and this gives us a chance.
BC Ural-Great Player Vanja Plisnic:
- We knew this game would be hard. Triumph pulled away too far early in the game and we could not come back. There are many reasons for this loss but I don’t want to make excuses. I hope we will learn from this game.
