Good start in TOP16

BC Triumph claimed an important victory in their first game of the EuroChallenge Top 16 by winning on the road at EclipseJet MyGuide Amsterdam on Tuesday.
Veteran Serbian campaigner Ognjen Askrabic had 18 points and 11 rebounds as Triumph won the Group L clash 85-68.
Triumph went in front by 13 in the second quarter before going to the break with a 42-32 advantage.
Askrabic had 12 of his points in the first half, with Pavel Sergeev also scoring nine of his 16 for the winners before the interval. Though Amsterdam briefly cut the deficit to eight points at the beginning of the second half, they failed to put the clamps on Triumph who opened up a 69-47 lead by the end of third quarter. T
he Russian giants cruised to a big win over the final 10 minutes. Marcus Goree continues to play well for BC Triumph. He had 10 points and 10 rebounds in their victory. T
he ex-Benetton Treviso and CSKA Moscow star has averaged better than 10 points and nine rebounds in Triumph's last three European games - all wins.

"We came to a good team with a good shot. We beat a good team. Although some people might think that we are favorites we still need to win every match."

This was a good lesson for us. My players aren't used to this type of physical games. We lost to a good team. I was even surprised that they played EuroChallenge. I don't think they will lose any of the next five matches."
